Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS A HOOKAH?
A hookah is a tobacco water pipe with a bowl and long hoses generally used to smoke a tobacco and molasses mixture. In the west, hookah refers to the pipe you would smoke that tobacco from, usually called shisha.

WHAT IS HOOKAH TOBACCO (SHISHA) MADE OUT OF?
Shisha is generally a mixture of tobacco, molasses and a vegetable glycerol. The glycerol helps keep the tobacco moist, and flavors are added to make the smoking experience more personalized and enjoyable. It may also be called hookah tobacco, or mu'assel, when shisha is used to refer to the pipe itself. Liquid Lake Norman also offers shisha in non-tobacco herbal varieties if you prefer to enjoy a
tobacco-free experience.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT FLAVOR OF SHISHA?
Choosing the right flavor of shisha can be a lot of fun, especially for one new to smoking from a hookah. Try all kinds of flavors and decide for yourself, because your tastes will differ from others.
